Bears Prepare for Winter
By Melissa Fowler
As the summer ends with crisp air and changing leaves, bears eat and drink, nearly nonstop. They do this during the fall months to prepare for winter. Our pre-k class enjoyed pretending to eat like a bear for our food science activity.
Bears eat:
tree bark: cinnamon toast crunch cereal
berries: blueberries, strawberries, and cranberries
nuts: walnuts and peanuts
oats: granola
river fish: Goldfish
river water: our water bottles
